Responsibilities: Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn physiology, postpartum complications, and lactation support. Ability to recognize and respond to postpartum emergencies, such as hemorrhage or neonatal distress. Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate mothers and families on newborn care, postpartum recovery, self-care, and potential warning signs requiring medical attention.
