Carbon Reduction Manager Location: Derby Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 Package Sector: Construction & Civil Engineering Are you passionate about driving sustainable change in the built environment? We’re working with a leading construction and civil engineering contractor renowned for delivering landmark projects across the UK, and they are now looking to appoint a Carbon Reduction Manager to take ownership of their journey to Net Zero. The Role: As Carbon Reduction Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the company’s long-term carbon strategy. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll design a new carbon reduction roadmap and lead its implementation across all business operations and project sites. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to make a real impact with an organisation that’s committed to sustainability and innovation in infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead the company’s carbon reduction strategy in line with Net Zero targets Identify and implement initiatives to reduce carbon emissions across business units and projects Monitor and report on carbon performance, compliance and environmental KPIs Collaborate with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams to embed sustainable practices Stay informed of evolving legislation, technologies and industry best practices Promote a culture of carbon awareness and environmental responsibility About You: A proven track record in a similar carbon or sustainability-focused role within the construction or civil engineering sector Experience developing and executing carbon reduction or Net Zero strategies Strong knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, carbon reporting standards and tools A relevant degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering or related field (preferred) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills What’s On Offer: A competitive salary of £45,000 – £55,000 Comprehensive package including pension, car allowance, and professional development support The chance to lead carbon innovation on high-profile UK projects A long-term career path within a forward-thinking, environmentally responsible contractor
