ER RN Job Details – Las Cruces, NM Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011 (New Mexico healthcare jobs) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910 per week Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 09/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025) Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Facility: Joint Commission Accredited, Level IV Trauma Center, 20-bed Emergency Department Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/as needed Patient Population: Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in New Mexico Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Ability to float to other units as needed within the hospital Fingerprinting and background check required (per New Mexico state regulations) Strong communication skills, positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to teach Scrub color: Any (no casual wear or other facility-branded clothing) ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department Assess, triage, and monitor patients using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) guidelines Manage patient ratios: 4:1 for ESI 1, 2, & horizontal 3s; 7:1 for ESI vertical 3s, 4, & 5 Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services Document patient care accurately in the MedHost EHR system Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and ongoing certification requirements Demonstrate flexibility by floating to other nursing units as needed Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
