Responsibilities Position is based in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with float requirements to the Medical ICU (MICU) and patient observer roles as needed 20-week contract with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour variable shifts including day (0700-1930) and night (1900-0730) rotations Assignment typically alternates 3 weeks of day shifts followed by 3 weeks of night shifts, schedule to be discussed with manager during interview Every other weekend duty is required Participation in bedside shift reporting (BSSR), use of AIDET, and hourly rounding are mandatory Duties include bedside shift reporting, hourly rounding, and frequent communication using the AIDET framework Must float within the hospital as needed based on staffing requirements Holiday time off is limited to one request if multiple holidays occur during the assignment Scrub attire requirements will be specified by the unit Applicants must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Travelers may not work more than one year without taking a one-year break before returning Mandatory participation in emergency response activities if required Requirements Active WI or compact RN license is required at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, including SICU experience Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory Trauma Level II experience, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and TNCC certifications are preferred Excellent communication skills and customer service are expected First-time travelers will be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620652.
