Pay Information $2,800 to $2,900 per week About The Position Position Overview: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurses for an 8-week contract role specializing in ground ambulance transports for our most vulnerable patients. This position is ideal for a dedicated NICU/PICU RN who thrives in a dynamic, autonomous environment and is passionate about providing critical care during transport. This contract has a strong potential to transition into a permanent, direct-hire position for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert-level nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patients during ground ambulance transports. Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill infants and children in a mobile environment. Operate and monitor specialized transport equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and vital signs monitors. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary transport team, including respiratory therapists and paramedics. Communicate clearly and concisely with receiving facilities to provide patient handoff reports. Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation throughout the transport process. Adhere to all established clinical protocols, safety policies, and procedures. Schedule & On-Call Requirements: Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts). On-Call: Minimal on-call requirement, typically not exceeding one (1) call shift per two-week pay period . Required Qualifications & Certifications (Must-Have): Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida . Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and/or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) . Proven experience in neonatal and pediatric critical care transport . Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification. Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is highly preferred. Previous experience in a ground ambulance transport setting. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a tight-knit team in high-stress situations.
