Senior RF Design Engineer

Senior RF Design Engineer Northamptonshire | Up to £70,000 DOE | Hybrid (3 days onsite) An established engineering company is looking for a Senior RF Design Engineer to join their specialist electronics team. The role involves designing, testing, and supporting advanced RF systems and components used in high-performance communication and signal processing applications. Responsibilities * Design RF systems and components including amplifiers, filters, antennas, and converters * Carry out RF simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/system issues * Support manufacturing and participate in formal design reviews * Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams Requirements * 5 years’ experience in RF design (7 preferred) * Strong knowledge of RF simulation tools, PCB design software, and RF components * Experience with high-power RF amplifiers, LNAs, and antennas * Good understanding of analogue/digital electronics and EMC principles * Eligible for UK Security Clearance Desirable * Experience in regulated or high-reliability industries * Familiarity with Altium Designer, AWR Microwave Office, or Ansys HFSS * Knowledge of MIL-STD or DO-160 testing Benefits * Salary up to £70k depending on experience * Hybrid working (3 days onsite) * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology with a skilled engineering team
