Construction Engineer - Civil / Structural

Job role: Construction Engineer – Civil / Structural Location: Site Based – Middlesbrough We are recruiting for a Construction Engineer (Civil/Structural) to support a major onshore energy infrastructure project. This role is ideal for someone with experience in multi-disciplinary construction environments, especially in the energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee construction methodologies, risk assessments, and method statements Monitor site activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project plans Interface with design teams and subcontractors to ensure constructability and technical alignment Contribute to construction scheduling, vendor documentation reviews, and cost planning Provide technical support and resolve site-based issues throughout project lifecycle Candidate Profile: ONC or above in Engineering (HNC/Degree/NVQ6 preferred) SMSTS and CSCS Black Card (or equivalent) Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction activities Experience across groundworks, fit-out, structural erection, and crane operations Good understanding of QA/QC and industry safety standards
