Quantity Surveyor

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our groundworks and civil engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and supporting the delivery of groundworks projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities * Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and valuations. * Carry out measurement, take-offs, and prepare bills of quantities for groundworks and civil engineering packages. * Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration. * Assess, value, and certify subcontractor applications and variations. * Monitor project progress and prepare accurate monthly cost reports. * Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks. * Liaise with clients, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure financial transparency. * Provide support with final accounts and project close-out. Requirements * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in groundworks / civil engineering. * Strong knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and construction law. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office. * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). * Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
