Responsibilities Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, crushers, and loading shovels. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults efficiently. Perform both workshop-based and on-site repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment. Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop and on-site. Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each task. Provide excellent customer service when working on-site, representing the company in a professional manner. Qualifications Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role, with expertise in maintaining and repairing plant machinery. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving license is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering are desirable but not essential. Day-to-Day Start your day by reviewing scheduled tasks and prioritizing urgent repairs. Perform routine maintenance and servicing of plant machinery in the workshop. Travel to client sites to diagnose and repair equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Collaborate with the team to share knowledge and resolve complex issues. Keep the workshop and tools organized and in good condition.
