Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role: Special Purpose Machinery Location: Cambridgeshire Salary: £50k-£65k Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer passionate about creating transformative technology? This role involves the design and delivery of complex hardware - with applications in precision automation, electro-mechanical, and advanced manufacturing, from early-stage R&D through to scalable production. You’ll join a talented, multidisciplinary team working at the cutting edge of innovation, delivering robust mechanical solutions that integrate into larger, system-level platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design & deliver complex mechanical subsystems within integrated platforms Full product development cycle – concept generation, detailed design & design for manufacture Conduct hands-on prototyping & testing Work in a highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team Project leadership – lead projects, mentor & technically guide engineers Key Requirements: Background in developing electro-mechanical systems Strong 3D CAD skills Proven experience in developing new products & precision mechanisms Knowledge of a range of manufacturing techniques Hands on and practical skills – prototyping & testing Industry experience in special purpose machinery or medical is advantageous If you’re looking to join a business that values creativity, quality and innovation, then apply with a copy of your CV
