About Our Client: Our client is a building restoration company in the Vancouver area. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team, based in the Greater Vancouver Area. This person will focus on estimating and project management of building envelope, parking structures, and structural rehabilitation projects. The successful incumbent will contribute to the company’s overall growth, profitability, and client retention goals. This individual will drive company level objectives through expert project execution, advanced financial management and leadership of project teams and PMs. Our client will provide a base salary, variable incentive plan, company car, medical/dental and other benefits. Please note that this position requires daily presence at their office in Coquitlam. Responsibilities: Engage proactively with senior client representatives, strata’s, boards, and institutional owners to shape scope and influence specifications. Provide high-level financial and risk analysis to senior management before bid submission, including bonding, insurance, and environmental exposures. Assign and oversee preconstruction teams (estimators, coordinators), ensuring best practices and lessons learned are applied. Oversee resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Advise executive management on long-term staffing, vendor partnerships, and strategic procurement decisions. Assign tasks to Project Managers. Direct, manage, and mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 PMs, ensuring consistent application of the company’s project delivery standards. Oversee crisis management for escalated issues (safety incidents, delays, major claims) and provide executive-level recommendations. Drive innovation by implementing advanced restoration technologies (i.e., PMMA/PUMA, hot-rubber systems, digital QA/QC tools, etc.). Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, including profitability, safety metrics, and client satisfaction trends. Lead claims negotiations and dispute resolution with senior client stakeholders and legal teams. Oversee knowledge transfer across PM teams, ensuring organizational learning is captured and standardized. Engage in post-project reviews with executive clients to secure long-term relationships and future opportunities. Participate in strategic planning, industry association representation, and corporate initiatives (safety culture, vendor programs, training development). Qualifications: 10-15 years of experience in overseeing structural and building envelope restoration of high-rise multi-residential and institutional buildings. 5-7 years in senior leadership roles, including direct supervision of Project Managers. Professional designation in engineering is an asset. PMP is an asset. A strong background in architectural and/or engineering principles. Proficiency in change management & adaptability, dispute resolution & claims management. Strong stakeholder engagement & presentation skills. Client-centric mindset. Specific experience in rehabilitation of exterior walls, balconies, and parking garage projects. Experience with the coordination of contractors, sub-contractors, and other vendors. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Thorough understanding of residential and institutional building practices. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Projects, and Outlook. Proven record of securing and delivering projects exceeding $10M in value. Recognized expertise in executive-level client presentations, negotiations, and claims resolution.
