Job Description

Are you an experienced environmental professional ready to take the lead on contaminated site projects? We’re hiring a Project Manager to join our clients team, where you’ll play a key role in planning, executing, and delivering environmental site investigation and remediation projects. Whether you're working remotely or in the office, you’ll be supported by a knowledgeable team with deep expertise in the field. Location: Flexible – work remotely or from any of their offices in Burnaby, Victoria, Kelowna, or Prince George What You’ll Do: Take full ownership of a range of contaminated site projects — including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (Stage 1 and 2), Detailed Site Investigations, remediation plans, sampling programs, and follow-up investigations. Scope out and manage budgets, timelines, and fieldwork strategies for environmental investigations and management plans. Prepare, write, and review technical reports and ensure quality across all deliverables. Mentor and support junior staff involved in site investigations and field activities. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to communicate project updates and help navigate complex environmental concerns. Collaborate internally to develop tailored strategies that help clients achieve their business goals. Keep project documentation organized using project management software — from budgets and timelines to technical notes and approvals. Track financial performance of your projects and make sure they stay on budget. Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring team compliance with health and safety protocols and regulations. What You Bring: A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, or another science-based field relevant to environmental work. Eligibility or current registration as a P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Chem, P.Ag, or R.P.Bio. (must be able to register within 6 months if not already certified). At least 5 years of experience working in contaminated sites, including a minimum of 2 years in a project management or coordination role . Solid understanding of BC’s Environmental Management Act , Contaminated Sites Regulation , and relevant protocols and technical guidance.
