Position Summary The Head of APAC Regional Marketing is an executive-level (SVP) position responsible for partnering with Global Marketing and Customer Success leaders to position SAP as a leader, achieve cloud revenue objectives and pipeline health through the development and execution of high-impact marketing strategies and programs designed to drive tangible, measurable market growth in APAC across the following Market Units: ANZ, Greater China, India, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia. The role aligns closely with key sales leaders and stakeholders and focuses on demand generation, account-based marketing, partner marketing, events, pipeline progression and customer adoption marketing. Ideal Candidate Profile Experienced tech marketing leader with a proven track record of successfully managing large teams in a matrixed, global organization. Minimum 15 years of marketing experience, with strong preference for recent regional leadership experience connecting global strategy to local activation. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field; advanced degree highly preferred. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Japanese is not mandatory but would be a strong advantage. Demonstrated ability to take marketing strategy from vision to execution at scale in fast-paced environments with change and transformation. Experience managing multi-departmental budgets, establishing actionable metrics, and optimizing business processes. Agile, collaborative, data-driven, outcome-focused, with strong change-management and executive presence; known for building high-performance teams. Willingness to travel frequently and provide expertise across all facets of marketing—from creative to programs and campaigns that deliver pipeline and outcomes at the field level. Experience leveraging both digital and in-person marketing strategies, including AI, to enhance account engagement and drive measurable revenue impact; high-tech sector experience is a plus but not required. Position Duties and Responsibilities Lead the creation and execution of innovative marketing programs in collaboration with the Integrated Marketing Team and Customer Success teams to achieve revenue and pipeline goals across all sources of demand. Develop and implement agile, differentiated marketing strategies spanning the entire customer lifecycle, including new account acquisition, expansion, and adoption. Provide strategic direction while ensuring alignment and collaboration across regional teams and with Global Marketing and Marketing Operations during joint business planning. Drive adoption of best practices in partner marketing, event marketing, account-based marketing, demand generation and pipeline progression. Operate a disciplined governance model to track performance and report results, in partnership with Marketing Operations. Maintain strong market and competitive knowledge of the cloud market and landscape. Partner with all sources of demand to build an integrated regional marketing strategy aligned to business priorities and measurable impact. Operationalize strategy by managing execution across channels, programs, and teams with consistency, efficiency, and accountability for results. Marketing Operations Excellence Foster cross-functional alignment between Market Units, Product Marketing, and enterprise/corporate segments to drive pipeline growth and revenue impact. Lead the marketing team toward operational excellence with scalability, best practices, continuous learning, and a smooth transition from strategy to execution. Ensure strong alignment between Customer Success and Global Marketing teams. Manage the marketing budget effectively with data-driven investment decisions aligned to corporate, marketing, and regional priorities. Set clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for all marketing initiatives, including program ROI and performance. Build and maintain strong executive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Lead regional demand management communities and forums and promote a high-performance culture. Develop and retain a high-performing, multi-generational team, prioritizing an inclusive workplace. Demonstrate executive presence, stakeholder management, and proactive communication of performance and expectations with mitigation plans as needed. Support talent development and create comprehensive succession plans. Encourage timely, high-quality information flow, meeting deadlines, and engaged, motivated employees. Recognize and reward success through visible, creative recognition programs. Lead change management and transformation initiatives across teams to adopt best-in-class cloud marketing practices.
