Each year, the School graduates over a thousand students who are ready to take on great ambitions and challenges.For more details, please view:We are looking for a Senior Research Engineer to support the research for the project titled: Non-intrusive Plug-and-Play Adaptive HVAC Control for FCU HVAC Systems.Key Responsibilities:The Senior Research Engineer will work on a BCA project to conduct research on Non-intrusive Plug-and-Play Adaptive HVAC Control for FCU HVAC Systems. The role of this position includes:* Architecture design for a resilient FCU control software tool.* Leading the software realization of each component in the architecture.* Development of a graphic user interface, compatible with relevant building management systems (BMS) via automation protocols such as BACnet, OPCDA etc.* Daily maintenance and upgrade of software modules.* Collaboration with ground operators to ensure compliance of software cybersecurity regulations.* To assist project PI to coach research students.Job Requirements: A master’s or PhD degree in relevant fields with past experience in software development, web-based graphic user interface design, network cybersecurity compliance.* Solid understanding of common building automation protocols such as BACnet and OPCDA.* Past knowledge and experience in development of commercial software systems is a plus.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
