Job Description Job Description Job Summary: As a System Installer and Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, startup, and commissioning of direct expansion (DX) HVAC systems. This includes split systems, packaged units, and VRF/VRV systems. Candidate must have strong mechanical and technical skills and be able to work independently or as part of a crew. Key Responsibilities: Install DX HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and VRF/VRV systems. Braze, evacuate, and charge refrigerant systems per manufacturer and EPA guidelines. Install and connect refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and low/high voltage wiring. Interpret and follow mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications. Perform start-up, system checks, charging, evacuations and leak testing to ensure proper operation and performance. Work closely with project managers, electricians, and control technicians. Keep accurate service records and complete job documentation. Maintain a clean and safe job site and follow all OSHA and company safety protocols. Provide clear documentation of work completed and report any field changes. Qualifications: Trade school or HVAC certification preferred. 2 years of experience installing DX systems in commercial settings. Experience with VRF/VRV systems. Proficient with brazing, vacuum pumps, manifold gauges, and recovery equipment. Familiarity with various manufacturers (e.g., Daikin, Mitsubishi, Carrier, Trane). Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
