Job ID: ASD-RDV-2025-001 Programme Type: Entry Level / Junior Sales & Leadership Development Location: Multiple Retail Stores, across South Africa (Major provinces) About the Programme Aris Partners is partnering with leading South African retailers to present a structured Retail Sales Development Programme under the retail department of selected major stores. This opportunity is aimed at youth who either have little-to-no experience in retail, or who wish to upscale themselves within the industry. The programme combines on-the-job training, mentorship, and profit-based earning methods so that participants learn and earn simultaneously. Our ultimate goal is to grow leaders from within, progressing through structured phases up to management positions. Key Responsibilities & Learning Outcomes As a participant in this programme, you will: Start as a Sales Representative, mastering customer service, product knowledge, sales processes, and retail operations. Advance to Team Leader, where you guide small teams, assist in day-to-day supervision, and support performance targets. Move into Assistant Manager responsibilities, including operational planning, staff scheduling, training new recruits, and assisting in store management. Finally be prepared to take on a Manager role, leading a department or store, responsible for strategy implementation, team performance, and profitability. Throughout all phases, you will receive regular mentorship from experienced managers, performance feedback, and leadership training. Minimum Requirements Candidates must: Be South African citizens, aged 18-35 years. Have a valid South African ID. Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent. Demonstrate strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking). Be available to work flexible hours (including weekends and public holidays) as retail demands. Be willing to commit to the full duration of the programme. Prior work experience in retail is not required. We welcome applicants with little experience who are ambitious and keen to learn. Programme Duration & Compensation Duration: Approximately 12 months (may vary depending on store / region). Remuneration: Market-related stipend during learning phases performance / commission / profit-sharing opportunities as you progress.
