Job Description

Qualifications Matric National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Management Requirements Minimum 5 years in a senior buyer role Experience in (mining, energy manufacturing, construction) industry Regulatory / compliance knowledge demonstrates understanding of local procurement regulations and import/export and SARS customs procedures. Competence in MS Office. Duties Provide advice and support on a wide range of products to clients. Assist clients by understanding their requirements, providing guidance and solutions. Be available as a key point of contact for clients, addressing any enquiries or issues that they may have. To be responsible for sourcing enquiries, preparing quotes, and negotiating with suppliers, for the benefit of the business. Processing of client orders in adherence to company procedures Be commercially aware of the requirements of the company and the financial implications of each step that goes towards securing an order. Involvement in supplier meetings and the development of our supplier relationships, i.e., improvement of payment terms / discount structures. Build knowledge of the industry and clients. Will have further involvement in client meetings to assist. Assist with staff training when necessary. Set leading example for other staff in both professionalism and performance, including KPIs and HubSpot. Further involvement in the commercial and technical preparation/submission of tender bids.
