TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Tyler, Texas, 75701! Pay Information $1,766 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE (preferred) Must-Have: Previous travel experience required; EPIC required Description: This is a night shift position with three 12-hour shifts. The patient ratio is 1:3 in a unit that has the capacity of up to 16 beds. Surgical procedures are not offered for this patient population, except for circumcisions and frenectomies. Retinopathy of prematurity exams are provided as needed. Donor breast milk is available for specified patient populations. The unit has two full-time IBCLCs and lactation peer counselors. Charge experience is preferred for candidates. Experience in an Epic charting system is required. Candidates must possess skills such as arterial line management and ventilator management. The unit diagnoses include all gestational ages, respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and neonatal abstinence syndrome. Special equipment used in the unit includes conventional ventilators, high-frequency oscillators, and phototherapy lights. The patient population includes neonates and infants, with a daily census of approximately 7. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
