Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor (Steelworks) Location: Pomeroy, Dungannon Salary: £35,000 per annum Start Date: Immediate Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing steelworks contractor based in Pomeroy, Dungannon. The successful candidate will support the commercial team across a range of structural steel and metalwork projects throughout Northern Ireland and the UK. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of estimates, tenders, and cost plans for steel fabrication and installation projects. Support senior QS staff with valuations, variations, and progress reports. Help manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and documentation. Maintain accurate project cost records and assist with monthly CVRs. Liaise with site teams to monitor progress, quality, and cost performance. Ensure compliance with company and client procedures, health & safety, and quality standards. Requirements: Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or working towards). 12 years experience in a QS or commercial role within construction or engineering (steel experience preferred but not essential). Strong numerical and organisational skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software.
