Job Description
Overview Bring your demonstrated leadership and consultation skills to this exciting opportunity as a Manager, Informatics, with Fraser Health's Health Digital Patient and Provider Experience team, supporting Core Clinical Solutions. This role is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation and sustainment of a Clinical Solutions Support Service for Fraser Health. The Clinical Solutions Support service will provide highly available, real-time, expert support to Providers, clinicians, and clinical support personnel related to their use of clinical information systems, such as MEDITECH Expanse. As a member of the leadership team, the Manager is part of a coordinated effort to move forward the health, clinical and corporate technology vision for FH and to work collaboratively with other team members in promoting new technologies and best practice for service delivery. Build on your education and career experience as you: Responsibilities Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and sustainment of health information systems and applications including identifying opportunities to move to electronic information capture and distribution, maintaining a multi-departmental authority-wide view of systems to support the adoption of systems. Plan and manages the support of the evolution and adoption of health information systems projects and leads strategies to reduce friction in the provider and clinician experience. Develop and maintains the processes necessary to facilitate care provider and employee access to electronic health and corporate information systems, applications and tools. Work collaboratively as a member of the Core Clinical Solutions leadership team by functioning as part of a coordinated effort to move forward the Fraser Health Digital Health strategy and by researching, promoting and adopting best practice models for service delivery. Work with business process leaders in financial, corporate, and clinical areas to identify current workflow processes and opportunities for improvement through the effective use of information systems and technologies. Identifies innovative approaches to service delivery and ensures that standards related to the management of personal health, employee or corporate information are maintained and enhanced. Lead a team of professionals in the successful execution of projects and daily operations, foster a positive and collaborative work culture, as well as motivate and inspire to achieve individual and collective goals. Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Health Information Management or a related field Seven (7) years management experience in a medium to large sized organization working with computerized health information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with acute care electronic health information systems. Duties Ensures the implementation of correct human resource standards and procedures, including performance evaluation, education, and orientation as well as compliance with applicable acts, regulations and collective agreements. Collaborate to develop Cyber Security Policy and Policy Framework Compliance Management and IT Architecture governance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for architecture services Collaboration as member of leadership team for IT Architecture and Operations Managing project and operating budgets Participates on assigned internal and external committees, represents FH as a decision maker on external opportunities to achieve desired outcomes Develops and maintains collaborative and strong working relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the organization, including Ministry of Health and Regional Health Authorities Professional Technical Capabilities Ability to communicate technical concepts Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, conflict management, planning, project management, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve issues Ability to develop and implement strategic and project plans, policies, procedures and standards Demonstrated ability to be effective in an environment subject to continuous change This full-time position is located at our Central City office in Surrey, BC. This role may be eligible for remote/hybrid work.
