Enterprise Architect - Epic

Job Description
The Enterprise Architect – Epic is responsible for establishing strategic technology roadmaps and architectural frameworks that support enterprise-wide business capabilities. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Architecture & Innovation, this role plays a critical part in guiding the adoption of modern architecture practices, enabling innovation, and aligning technology with business goals. The architect will work across multiple domains including data, application, business, and information architecture, with a strong focus on Epic systems and SAFe Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities Strategic Architecture & Innovation Develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategy, roadmaps, and technology radar. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align technology with strategic goals. Drive architectural runway and governance to support Agile delivery teams. Evaluate emerging technologies and develop proof-of-concepts and reference implementations. Epic Architecture & Solution Design Lead Epic architecture reviews and high-level solutioning for business epics. Define intentional architecture and maintain solution roadmaps. Collaborate with system engineers to define subsystems, interfaces, and deployment strategies. Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events. Support Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) by aligning architecture with investment themes and value streams. Business Process & Capability Architecture Model and optimize business processes in collaboration with stakeholders. Maintain enterprise capability maps and conduct gap analyses. Identify architectural enablers to support strategic planning. Governance & Knowledge Management Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, and policies. Maintain a centralized repository of architectural artifacts and promote reuse. Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data governance requirements. Technology Strategy & Risk Management Evaluate and select enterprise platforms, tools, and vendors. Develop strategies for cloud adoption, data platforms, and integration. Conduct scenario planning and support business continuity from an architectural perspective. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, analytics, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering. SQL, data modeling, analytics Containerization and orchestration API architecture and service-oriented design Modern programming languages Automation, AI, and security practices Experience with UML and visual modeling. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle. Preferred Qualifications Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack. Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF. Experience in micro-architecture and data-driven process implementation.
