Emergency Physician-Surrey Memorial Hospital

Overview The Emergency Department at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) is seeking 10 part time and/or full time Emergency Physicians to join our group. Our group includes new graduates and highly experienced physicians, with both CCFP (EM) and FRCPC (EM) training. We are a well-supported and close-knit team that maintains strong relationships with consultants. Surrey Memorial is the busiest emergency department in Western Canada, serving a diverse population with a focus on patient safety and department efficiency. The schedule is flexible and accommodates maternity/paternity leaves and vacations. There are opportunities for research, leadership and teaching. On shift, you can expect to work with medical students, junior residents, or emergency medicine residents. The Surrey CCFP (EM) program is growing, and we are actively advancing diversity, equity, and inclusivity in hiring. Located about 35–45 minutes outside of Vancouver, the area offers access to outdoor activities and multicultural experiences. Compensation Fee for Service Responsibilities Provide emergency medical care in a high-volume ED setting. Collaborate with a team of physicians, consultants and support staff. Supervise and teach medical students, junior residents, or emergency medicine residents on shift. Participate in quality improvement, research, and opportunities for leadership.
