Job Description
Overview Clinical Cardiologist role at Vancouver Coastal Health . Primary work site is Vancouver General Hospital with potential clinical role at St. Paul’s Hospital. Status: Full-Time; Compensation: Fee-for-Service. Start Date: September 1, 2025. The Divisions of Cardiology at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC) invite applications from outstanding Cardiologists with expertise in Clinical Cardiology for a full-time position. The role is based at VGH in conjunction with SPH, both UBC-affiliated teaching hospitals. Responsibilities Manage ambulatory general cardiology clinic duties, with assigned weeks in the Cardiology Stat Clinic and inpatient cardiology consult service. Develop and maintain a thriving General Cardiology outpatient practice alongside hospital clinics and in-patient consults. Engage in academic activity within the Division of Cardiology and participate in teaching at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Potential to contribute to clinical research studies and quality assurance projects; opportunities for involvement in Medical Education, Quality Improvement, and Systems Management. Support the development and growth of the UBC Cardiology research and education programs; eligible for an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor or higher as determined by the UBC Appointments and Promotions Committee. Qualifications FRCPC designation in Internal Medicine and Cardiology or equivalents. Eligible for licensure in the Province of British Columbia (BC). Effective communication skills; demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels. Ability to participate in clinical research and/or quality assurance projects; commitment to collegiality and professional ethics. Education, Licensing, & Experience: Current CPSBC license (Full); CMPA membership; FRCPC (Mandatory).
