Sr. Quality Engineer (Quality Management System)

Senior Quality Engineer, QMS SR. QUALITY ENGINEER, QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Ensure compliance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the quality management systems according to applicable international standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESD S20.20, among others), through internal audits, document control, management of measuring instruments, and coordination of internal and external audits. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct internal system audits according to the annual internal audit plan for ISO/IATF 16949. Conduct audits according to customer audit plan and lead related departments prepare and lead audit process. Update customer portal information within QMS scope, for example: certification, audit& corrective action, self-assessment, etc. Manage quality system document release in related production area according to quality system document release rule. Perform process audits based on the VDA 6.3 methodology as per the internal audit plan. Prepare for and assist in external audits related to ISO, IATF, VDA, and ESD standards. Follow up on non-conformities identified during internal and external audits. Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation updated, ensuring proper version control of documents and forms. Control the release, update, recycling, and disposal of controlled documents. Coordinate training on the document control system for related users. Ensure records and documents meet standard requirements and are accessible to authorized personnel. Manage plant measuring instruments: develop and maintain a master gauge list and calibration schedule. Develop and execute the annual product audit plan in line with IATF 16949 requirements. Support the implementation and compliance of integrated management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Minimum of 4 or 5 years in similar positions within the automotive or regulated manufacturing industry. Proven experience in ISO/IATF audits, VDA 6.3, and corrective action processes. Knowledge in Standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESD S20.20. Knowledge in Internal auditing methodology (checklists, audit reports, action plans). Knowledge in Document control and record management. Knowledge in Quality tools: 5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D, etc. Knowledge in Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC. MSA y FMEA) Use of Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) Leadership, organization and sense or urgency Oral and Written Communication PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Familiar with lean manufacturing principles. Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001/IATF 16949. Certificación como Auditor de Procesos VDA 6.3. English Advanced
