Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/27/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel : Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift (3x12 hrs) Shift: Night (3x12 hours) | Contract: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36 Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by following nursing care plans and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees. This role embraces The Select Medical Way — focusing on patient and employee safety, teamwork, respect, results orientation, and resourcefulness. Core Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans. Identify teaching needs and goals for patients and families, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with policy. Provide and evaluate direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate). Participate in rehabilitation programs and promote patient/family education. Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and prepare patients/families accordingly. Communicate all changes in patient condition to the physician, charge nurse, and care team promptly. Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel. Ensure personal and environmental safety , adhering to hospital policies and safety standards. Serve as charge nurse when assigned. Maintain communication with management about supply needs, equipment issues, and training requirements. Promote cost-effective care while achieving quality outcomes. Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study. Participate in team-building and contribute to a positive, efficient work environment.
