Job Title: Neurodiagnostic Techno II Profession: Neurodiagnostic Technology Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: If graduation from an acceptable program in Neurophysiology, no prior experience required. Requires two years of experience performing various Sleep or Neurodiagnostic procedures if no graduation from an acceptable program. License: High School Diploma required if no graduation from an acceptable program in Neurophysiology. Certifications: Required certifications may include EEG, EP, Intra-Operative Monitoring, Nerve Conduction Velocity studies, Polysomnography, or Registered Sleep Technologist. Must-Have: Must be registered. Description: The role may involve providing instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab. Perform diagnostic patient testing such as electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction velocities (NCV), sensory evoked potentials (EP), and polysomnographic testing with possible oxygen therapy and continuous positive airway pressure treatments (CPAP). Conduct room and equipment setup and placement in hospital rooms, operating rooms, or clinics. Calibrate and maintain equipment. Read and score neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests. Take patient histories. Instruct patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments.
