Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Weston Salary: Competitive – Negotiable depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a respected global automotive manufacturer based in the Weston area. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team and support production operations through effective maintenance and problem-solving. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working with advanced machinery and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime * Diagnose and repair mechanical faults quickly and effectively * Support production line changes and tooling setup requirements * Supervise contractors and ensure all work complies with safety standards * Source mechanical parts and components with consideration to cost and lead time * Assist with general building and site maintenance as required Required Skills & Experience: * Strong mechanical background, with experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment * Proven experience in fabrication and welding * Experience working with or around CNC machinery (advantageous) * Confident supervising contractors and supporting equipment installations * Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and safe working procedures * Problem-solving ability, including basic fault-finding on electrical or mechatronic systems (desirable) Candidate Profile: * Proactive and hands-on, with a strong attention to detail * Capable of working independently and as part of a team * Logical thinker with a calm and focused approach to problem-solving * Flexible, reliable, and motivated to meet production requirements What We Offer: * Competitive salary and benefits (based on experience) * Stable full-time position with regular weekday hours * Opportunity to work with a leading global automotive brand * Supportive team environment and opportunities for career development If you’re interested in this role, please apply with CV and we will be in touch with more information
