Please log into your MySelf account for further instructions on how to apply as an internal candidate. *Fusion Assets, NLP LLP* Enterprise & Communities s Active & Creative Communities Senior Sports Development Officer – Community Sports Hub (Temporary) NLC11 £45,882 - £50,487 35 hours per week (35hrs 5 over 7) North Lanarkshire Council in partnership with Sportscotland are looking to appoint a Senior Sports Development Officer – Community Sport Hubs. Reporting to the Sport Development & Participation Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to Community Sports Hubs to deliver the strategic priorities of North Lanarkshire Council and Sportscotland and develop strategic partnerships to ensure an integrated approach to sport in the wider community. You will have extensive experience of supporting clubs and community organisations to develop and connect, demonstrating a good knowledge of local and national priorities in education, sport and health. You will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience. You will also have experience in working in partnership with external agencies and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the aims of the Community Sports Hubs. Extensive experience in managing staff, securing funding from external sources are essential for this post as well as experience of working with young people in an educational setting, with knowledge of formulating physical activity and sports development plans, delivering and achieving results. You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role. The work pattern for this role will be 35 hours 5/7 days. This post is temporary for up to 1 year to cover a maternity leave absence.
