Job Description

Occupational Therapist – Rehousing Team Contract: Full-time (35 hours/week) or part-time (minimum 28 hours/week over 4 days) | Initial 3–6 months with potential for extension A local Authority in Manchester is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Rehousing Team. This role focuses on housing adaptations and supporting individuals to access accommodation that meets their specific needs. The post holder will work closely with housing colleagues, social care, and health professionals to enable positive rehousing outcomes for Manchester residents through practical OT interventions and housing-based solutions. Main Duties: Undertake holistic assessments in service users' homes to determine housing adaptation needs Match applicants to available adapted properties and support them during property viewings Provide high-quality advice and information on rehousing options Complete medical assessments and priority reports for both adults and children Work collaboratively to manage a caseload of complex rehousing cases Travel across Greater Manchester as required for visits and assessments Contribute to effective joint planning and integrated working across services Offer creative, practical solutions to improve housing outcomes for residentsRequirements: Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy HCPC Registration Previous experience in housing adaptations and community-based OT work Strong assessment and report writing skills Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can assist) Eligibility to work in the UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle desirableBenefits: Ongoing training and CPD (including monthly protected CPD time) Supervision and career development pathways Supportive multi-disciplinary environment Flexible working opportunities (hybrid working with min. 2 office days/week) Competitive hourly ratesWhy Join Our Agency?
