Overview Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM. All customers, regardless of Prime membership, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads. The Studios Technology Services team supports production personnel and Studios business teams and our Media Supply Chain. Our Infrastructure Engineering team is looking for Sr Site Reliability Engineers to build, deploy, operate, and sustain our critical infrastructure and systems. The team will operationalize the stability and reliability of these systems and discover innovative ways to scale and operate them reliably as we expand. You will deploy and monitor the systems and automation to ensure that critical infrastructure is operating optimally and implement mechanisms to prevent service impacting incidents. You will utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes to continuously improve systems. Site Reliability Engineers focus on automating infrastructure at scale and using best practice stability and reliability protocols to ensure reliability and repeatability. Responsibilities Design, build, deploy, and operate infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation and scripting (IaC, Python, and related tools). Build scalable solutions for problems of substantial scope and complexity that have been successfully deployed to customers/users. Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC); provide thought leadership and establish enterprise-level infrastructure patterns. Build and enhance Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Mentor less experienced software engineers and collaborate with other teams to solve moderately complex problems. Design, build, deploy, operate, and resolve critical issues for cloud systems while optimizing configurations. A day in the life Comfortable designing, developing, deploying, and operating with IaC, Python, and scripts. Develop solutions for problems of sizable scope and complexity that are deployed to customers/users. Lead with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and establish enterprise-level infrastructure patterns. Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines. Mentor teammates and collaborate to find innovative solutions for moderately complex problems. Design, build, deploy, and operate cloud systems, and resolve critical issues. About the team Our Infrastructure Engineering team builds, deploys, operates, and sustains our critical applications, infrastructure and systems in the cloud. You will deploy and monitor the systems with automation to ensure that critical infrastructure operates optimally while implementing mechanisms to prevent service impacting incidents. You will utilize trends and metrics to identify and communicate opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes to continuously improve systems. Engineers develop tools, platforms, and methodologies that deliver performant, resilient, and efficient cloud platforms and architectures. Our engineers touch a wide range of AWS applications and infrastructure components.
