Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate cost models that cover materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs, while also providing precise cost estimates for new designs and engineering changes. Analyze product cost structures to identify key cost drivers and trends, and formulate strategies aimed at cost reduction. Collaborate with the procurement team to negotiate favorable supplier terms and assess quotes for competitiveness. Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives. Train and mentor teams on cost modeling techniques, fostering a culture of cost awareness within the organization. Qualifications & Skills Degree in Electromechanical Engineering or a related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in product development, focusing on cost and value engineering. Advanced proficiency in English. Proficient in deploying cost engineering strategies effectively and influencing teams, with strong critical thinking skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to structure and solve complex problems. Proficiency in project management methods. Broad business knowledge to facilitate cross-discipline interactions. Strong leadership skills to drive change and effectively challenge the organization.
