Contract Type Permanent Country ITALY Location Parma Your opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Hardware and Software Engineer to join our team, dedicated to driving new product development projects for capital equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic solutions and firmware development in automation control system context, associated to experience in collaboration with suppliers specializing in electronic board design and production. Your Mission Engineering Lead the design and development of custom electronic solutions for capital equipment projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, automation software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components inside the relevant automation control architectures. Work closely with suppliers to develop electronic boards, firmware, and production processes, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions. Project Management Manage the full lifecycle of electronic hardware and software projects, from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and production. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware and software integration, providing timely solutions to maintain project timelines. Technical Documentation Document design processes, specifications, and test results to ensure clear communication and knowledge transfer within the team. Compliance And Standards Conduct thorough testing and validation of electronic systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electronic hardware and software engineering. Your Profile Education Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, or Automation related engineering fields Experience Proven experience in electronic hardware design, firmware development, and integration of complex systems, ideally in industrial equipment automation control system design. Skills Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit design, and PCB layout Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar for firmware development. Knowledge of HDL languages for FPGA design is an advantage” Experience with electronic testing equipment and methodologies. Knowledge of PLC, automation and network architecture is an advantage Soft Skills Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus. Language Requirements Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Italian and/or French fluency requested.
