About The Position We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in South Dakota. This opportunity starts on Dec 22, 2025, spans a 4-day assignment, and features 24-hour shifts from 8a to 8a. The role is ideal for nurse practitioners with rural emergency department and sole provider experience, as you will serve as the sole provider responsible for patient rounding, stabilization, and transfer in the emergency department. Job Details Location: South Dakota Start Date: Dec 22, 2025 LOA: 4 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 8a - 8a on Dec 22 & Dec 23 and Dec 30 & Dec 31 Responsibilities and Duties Serve as the sole provider in the emergency department Perform patient rounding in the ED Stabilize patients and facilitate transfer as needed Additional Information South Dakota license required Board certifications required: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care Certifications required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Rural ED and sole provider experience preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
