Project Interpreter About the Role We are seeking a Project Interpreter with fluency in both Portuguese and English to support a critical project based in Devonport. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating clear and accurate communication across project teams, ensuring smooth collaboration between English- and Portuguese-speaking stakeholders. This is a site-based role requiring a professional who can start quickly, adapt to fast-moving project requirements, and support sensitive work within a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Provide verbal and written interpretation between English and Portuguese for project meetings, technical discussions, and documentation. Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications. Support project managers, engineers, and stakeholders in cross-language collaboration. Translate technical, contractual, and operational materials as required. Competencies Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written). Proven experience in interpretation and translation within a professional or technical environment. Role Requirements Ability to work on-site in Devonport for the duration of the contract. Eligible to achieve BPSS clearance (must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years). Ability to start at short notice. Contract Details Duration: 6 months Hours: Full-time (35 hrs), on-site - Devonport dockyard Rate: £44/hr umbrella (£33/hr PAYE option available) Inside IR35
