Events Manager - London (Airbus) Location: London (Welling House HQ) - 60% onsite with flexibility Contract Type: Until October 2026 (with potential extension) Hours: 35 hours/week (4.5 days, between 7am-7pm) Pay: £25.41/hr (PAYE) | £34.00/hr (Umbrella) Security Clearance: BPSS (completed by Airbus Security) Travel: Frequent, across UK and potentially Europe IR35 Status: Inside About the Role We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Events Manager to lead the delivery of high-profile corporate events and VIP visits at Airbus. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of one of the world's leading aerospace organisations, where your creativity, precision, and people skills will shape unforgettable experiences. You'll be the driving force behind in-person, hybrid, and digital events-working closely with senior leadership, UK Public Affairs, and Communications teams to ensure every event reflects Airbus' brand, values, and strategic priorities. What You'll Be Doing Lead end-to-end event delivery : From concept to execution, ensuring seamless logistics and exceptional hospitality. Engage with senior stakeholders : Including ministers, VIPs, and executive leadership. Ensure protocol excellence : Manage ceremonial and official arrangements with precision and cultural sensitivity. Collaborate cross-functionally : Align with internal teams and external agencies to deliver consistent, branded experiences. Optimise budgets and procurement : Monitor spend, ensure compliance, and drive cost-efficiency. Champion safety and sustainability : Uphold Health & Safety standards and promote eco-conscious practices. Report and improve : Evaluate event performance and supplier effectiveness to drive continuous improvement. What You'll Bring Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate event management and protocol. Proven track record managing large-scale, high-profile events. Strong organisational skills and ability to thrive under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-comfortable engaging with everyone from contractors to VIPs. High attention to detail and a service-first mindset. Experience in branding, hospitality, ethics & compliance, and project management is a plus. Fluent in English (oral and written); additional languages are a bonus. Budget management and procurement process knowledge. Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed. Why Join Us?
