Electrical Estimator

Introduction: Our client, a well-established electrical contractor, is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong background in estimating within the electrical contracting, building services, or M&E sectors. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates, quotations, and cost plans for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to assess project requirements. Carry out take-offs from electrical drawings and prepare material, labour, and subcontractor costs. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Work closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to hand over successful tenders. Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and risk factors. Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met. Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and market prices. Key Requirements: Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the electrical contracting, building services, or M&E industry. Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarms, security systems, and general building services. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and estimating software (such as Trimble, Amtech, or similar).
