With over 16,000 people across 18 countries and a turnover of €3,840.6 million in 2024, Brembo is seeking a professional to join the Research & Development Global Central Function to develop electromechanical components, especially plastic housings that integrate electronic components (PCBA, connectors, lead frame, press fit) and assembly for electromechanics or electrohydraulic systems. Location: Stezzano (BG) Position: Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Engineer (Mid-Senior level) Employment type: Full-time Department: Research & Development Global Central Function Responsibilities Participate in innovative product development activities (brainstorming, IP analysis, claim chart) to ensure a creative approach to design. Protect new ideas by filing patents and following internal IP guidelines. Develop and optimize designs from concept through production, ensuring performance, efficiency, and manufacturability. Strong experience in plastic component design (preferably injection molding). Expertise in electric connectors and PCBA integration is a plus. Select appropriate materials based on durability, mechanical/electrical requirements, weight, and manufacturability. Perform mechanical analysis or calculations to assess part integrity; interface with CAE teams for simulation and evaluation. Conduct DFMEA to minimize project risks. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure feasibility analyses and high-quality standards for the application. Develop 3D and 2D drawings for prototypes and new components/assemblies. Manage components in line with internal guidelines (MD manager and team leaders), procedures, methodologies, and PDM/PLM systems. Collaborate with other teams to ensure optimal integration of components/assemblies into the overall system (gearbox, PCBA, foundation, others). Implement continuous improvement by identifying design and manufacturing process optimizations. Implement corrective actions based on testing or application feedback. Foster an innovative approach to component and assembly design and benchmark best practices from suppliers/competitors. Minimum Requirements Master degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering At least 5 years of experience in similar roles Experience in the design of plastic components Experience in mechanical integration of electrical/electronic components Excellent knowledge of the English language Knowledge of FMEA methodology Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Familiarity with parametric modeling tools (preferably CATIA V5) Nice to Have Familiarity with FEM simulation tools Familiarity with PDM/PLM management systems Familiarity with injection molding simulation tools Other We are committed to equal opportunity employment.
