To learn more please visit http://www.convatecgroup.com About the role: As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will serve as the scientific expert for the Functional Urology therapeutic area in Italy. Acting as a strategic partner to Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and the broader scientific community, you will facilitate high-level clinical and scientific exchange, support innovation, and contribute to the success of our medical and commercial strategies. This is a field-based role reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, with a dotted-line reporting to Global Marketing and Medical Affairs, ensuring alignment between global strategy and local execution. Key Duties and Responsibilities KOL Engagement & Scientific Exchange: Identify and build strong relationships with KOLs and centers of excellence in functional urology and intermittent catheterization. Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to foster scientific dialogue and gather clinical insights. Organize and lead Advisory Boards, Focus Groups, and scientific meetings to explore therapeutic pathways and unmet needs. Medical Education & Visibility: Co-develop and implement the Medical Affairs plan, including clinical projects, publications, and studies. Represent the company at congresses, symposiums, and training events, presenting scientific data when appropriate. Design and deliver impactful scientific events in collaboration with marketing and sales teams. Support the creation of scientifically sound promotional materials for healthcare professionals. Internal Collaboration & Compliance: Train internal teams, including sales, on product science and relevant pathologies. Collect and share field insights to inform strategic decisions across departments. Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations in all Medical Affairs activities. About you You are a commercially minded professional who thrives in the field, building strong relationships with KOLs and turning insights into impactful, sales-driving initiatives. You enjoy working across diverse projects with marketing and sales teams, and you're motivated by the opportunity to shape strategy, support product growth, and elevate brand visibility. Education: Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Medical Biotechnology, Nursing Sciences). A Master's in healthcare marketing or clinical affairs is a plus. Experience: Minimum 3 years in Medical Affairs (e.g., MSL, Medical Advisor) or scientific marketing within medtech. Experience in functional urology is highly desirable. Technical Skills Strong understanding of the medical device industry. Proven track record in KOL management and Medical Affairs project execution. Previous clinical experience in hospital or outpatient settings is a plus. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel). Personal Attributes Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans. High ethical standards and commitment to compliance. Energetic, proactive, and collaborative mindset. Location: Italy (Rome preferred).
