Sr. Electrical Engineer - Electrical Vehicle Chargers (Relocation to Barcelona) Amazon Central RME is seeking Senior Electrical Engineers to become part of a global engineering team, responsible for the maintenance of the Amazon Electrical Vehicle Chargers (EVC) network. The EV Charging Operations Manager at Amazon will lead and oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our extensive EV charging network, achieving world-class uptime and customer satisfaction through effective maintenance strategies and swift issue resolution. They will develop and implement maintenance protocols, manage escalation procedures, and communicate operational decisions to Senior Management while driving continuous improvements in service reliability. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in EV charger maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, understanding both hardware and software components of various charging systems. They will conceive, initiate, and lead projects with widespread impact on the EV chargers network, working with internal teams to understand user requirements and challenges and collaborating with teams or individuals from other disciplines, cultures, and countries. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing complex electrical troubleshooting and repair projects, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues Analyzing electrical failures and performance data to drive continuous improvement in maintenance strategies Creating and implementing electrical project plans that enhance network reliability and reduce maintenance costs Developing and standardizing electrical maintenance procedures, ensuring optimal performance of EV charging infrastructure Driving operational excellence by developing and implementing maintenance strategies, KPIs, and quality control measures Establishing and maintaining escalation protocols for complex technical issues across the charging network Collaborating with vendors and manufacturers on technical solutions and equipment upgrades Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams Designing and leading electrical preventive maintenance programs and charger reliability initiatives across the global network Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent practical experience Experience in operations management, preferably in maintenance or technical support Strong understanding of electrical systems and charging infrastructure maintenance Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically with EV charging infrastructure maintenance and operations Master's degree in relevant field or MBA Previous experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment Certification in project management or relevant technical certifications Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
