Join to apply for the Senior RF & System Engineer role at Airbus Job Description: The role of Senior RF Engineer in the RF Technologies team is to lead or support R&D studies, projects and industrial activities in the frame of RF active developments. The main objectives of the role are RF system analysis and developments, particularly in the RF active field for space applications, where the primary tasks and activities will include: Responsibilities RF microwave system design and performance analysis, wide knowledge of system designing and dimensioning, antenna, RF system and signal processing requirements specification Deep knowledge in the field of RF active phased array antenna Design of active and passive RF components, from few MHz up to tens of GHz, including concept formulation, feasibility and trade-off In collaboration with other disciplines (quality, mechanical, thermal, technology), selection and detailed definition of the most appropriate manufacturing processes and procedures to be followed for the development of space qualified RF components Implementation of components purchase and development plan Consolidated experience on testing capabilities and procedures by means of the most common measurement techniques and instrumentation Contribution to the preparation of proposals for industrial and R&D activities Preparation of technical reports, program reviews, documentation and presentations Education/Training Essential : Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Desirable : Post-graduation degree in Electronic Engineering Experience Essential : At least 4÷8 years of work experience on analysis, design and development of RF devices Desirable : Previous employment in space industry design department with responsibility in analysis, design and development of RF devices Wide background and several years of working experience on design, development and testing of RF systems Wide background in end-to-end payload performance and signal quality analysis Wide background in managing projects in the frame of ECSS standards Tools or product requirements Excellent knowledge of SW tools for design of RF devices, such as Microwave Office, HFSS, CST, ADS Knowledge of Matlab and signal processing is well considered Pragmatic and product/results oriented approach Languages Italian (fluent in technical and non-technical, written and spoken) English (fluent in technical and non-technical, written and spoken) Behaviours Methodical approach to work Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work autonomously and set priorities Ability to effectively communicate, create and encourage two way communication Team-worker whose working style is highly collaborative in nature Promotion and demonstration of personal and professional development for self and others Spirit of innovation and creativity, along with encouragement and support of such a spirit in others Commitment, along with creation of a sense of urgency and purpose when appropriate to get things done Availability to travel in Italy and abroad This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
