As GM&F Buyer you will support the buying process for a given set of direct suppliers. In this role you will apply sourcing policy, interface between suppliers and requestors with respect to specifications and budget. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Take part in sourcing processes, from evaluation of requestor’s requirements to PO placement Develop the understanding of concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution Meet day-to-day short term objective and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning Evaluate the best efficiency for procured goods and services, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs Evaluate current requirements, determine potential sources, prepare tenders Solicit and evaluate proposals Apply cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizations Take part in negotiations PO and/or purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulations Give your contribution in strategic initiatives necessary to reduce costs Work on assigned commodities to meet the requirements of GE Aerospace Qualification/Requirements Master's Degree in a technical field, preferably in Engineering Proficient in Italian and English, both written and spoken Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form Ability to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriately Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word) Proactive, fast learner and curious Willingness to travel (e.g. suppliers abroad) Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Working knowledge of SAP MRP software system Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Knowledge of current market conditions, pricing and sources of supply Ability to handle issues around cost increases and how to mitigate them Effective problem identification and solution skill High team-working skills What we offer Smart working and work life-balance Avio Aero, when possible, promotes hybrid work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
