Senior Satellite Functional Test Engineer Thales Alenia Space is a global space manufacturer delivering high-tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, exploration, science and orbital infrastructures. The department of Electrical and Functional Assembly, Integration and Test is responsible for integration and testing the whole spacecraft. The role of Senior Functional Test Engineer involves validation of the Functional Command and Control Chain, evaluating test requirements, defining and executing tests, and evaluating results. The successful candidate will contribute to relevant life-cycle reviews, technical requirements for test bench specification, and system test definition and execution. Responsibilities include validating the fulfillment of all Customer functional requirements at subsystem and system level, supporting and conducting troubleshooting and analysis in case of anomalies, and working on shift 24h/7d across the full week as required. About You Education and experience: Master Degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineer, or equivalent background in Electronics, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar job. Fluent English (C1 and above certification) is required. Skills and knowledge Deep and practical knowledge of test instrumentation from oscilloscopes to Logic and Protocol analyzers Demonstrable knowledge of Electronic Measurement theory, application and performance evaluation Proficient in High level programming languages (C++, Python) Operating Systems in-depth knowledge and programming experience Experience in design of C&C systems is a plus Personal ability Customer focused, proactive attitude Organized and methodical approach to work with strong communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks, work autonomously or in a team, and achieve results within time and cost constraints Problem-solving attitude Thales Alenia Space provides careers and not only jobs, with a mobility policy enabling employees to develop their careers at home and abroad.
