IT Cloud Infrastructure Project Manager

Overview RINA is recruiting for an IT Cloud Infrastructure Project Manager to join its office in Genoa or Rome (Italy) within the Global IT Operations Division. The role reports to the IT Cloud Infrastructure Director and is responsible for leading and executing IT projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within defined deadlines, budget constraints, and scope. You will coordinate stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to achieve project success by effectively managing resources and optimizing outcomes. Responsibilities Support the Application PMs to develop IT project plans, timelines and resources. Oversee projects related to IT infrastructure, cloud migration, digital workplace solutions, and cybersecurity. Ensure projects meet budget, technical, security, and compliance requirements. Track and report project progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Project Completion Rate, ITSM Efficiency, and User Satisfaction. Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and third-party service providers. Communicate project updates and challenges to executive leadership and IT teams. Ensure IT projects comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR). Assess and mitigate project risks. Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to understand architectural patterns and with the Cybersecurity team to integrate security best practices into delivery tasks. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance IT efficiency. Drive automation of IT workflows, cloud cost optimization, and DevOps best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within IT Operations. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Computer Science Master’s Degree Qualifications 2 years of experience managing cross-functional teams on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously to deliver or change IT infrastructures, with a solid track record of successfully leading projects. 3 years of experience in IT Operation and IT Cloud Infrastructure Management (e.g., MS Azure). Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile) and tools (e.g., MS Projects). Engineering Knowledge: Proficiency understanding of IT concepts and methodologies (ITIL Framework, DevOps and Agile methodologies). Ability to collaborate with service managers, technical experts, partners and suppliers. Ability to understand charts representing technical solutions and identify tasks to put into project plans. Project Team Management: Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams; ability to assign tasks based on skills, motivate and manage them effectively. Languages: Fluent in Italian and English.
