Job Description
We are seeking an Equipment Engineer for our office in Torino, to be inserted in important projects in the aeronautic sector. A degree in Electronic Engineering is preferred. The resource will be responsible for the definition and design of Equipment and will carry out the following activities: Capture and verification of customer requirements; Definition and management of equipment specification requirements using specific tools such as DOORS (IBM); Development of theoretical and simulation models and algorithms for performance evaluation and system sizing using Model Based Tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink; Cameo); Definition of Equipment architecture; Preparation and management of equipment requirement specifications and/or test procedures at the equipment, hardware module, and software module levels; Validation of requirements and/or test procedures; Support for detailed development activities; Support for Safety, Reliability, FMEA/FMECA analysis activities; Integration of hardware modules into Avionic Equipment; Application of Safety Critical principles and redundancy at the system/subsystem level to meet safety requirements defined in accordance with SAE ARP 4754A and SAE ARP 4761 for Catastrophic hazards; Participation in product review activities; Support for supplier management; Management of Problem Reports related to the tasks performed. Competences Good ability to use IBM-Rational Doors and/or Mathworks Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow; Basic knowledge of Digital and Analog Electronics Good knowledge of serial buses such as RS232, RS485, RS422, ETHERNET, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC 429, CAN, FireWire 1394; Ability to use standard laboratory instrumentation (at least an oscilloscope) Basic knowledge of the peculiarities of Safety Critical systems in the avionics sector; Preferred basic knowledge in the field of automatic controls and digital filters; Preferred basic knowledge in the field of signal analysis (Signal Processing); Preferred basic knowledge of the following Standards: ARP4761, ARP4754A, DO254, DO178, DO160, MIL-STD-1760; various MIL-STD (210, 454, 461, 704, 781, 810). Desirable, but not essential, knowledge of basic concepts of Radiofrequency (signal transmission, electromagnetic compatibility, and electrical signal integrity). Good knowledge of the English language.
