Process Engineer – Energy Storage

Greentalent is a recruiter specialised in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Energy, Engineering and Environment market. On behalf of an innovative company providing large-scale energy storage systems, we are looking for a: Process Engineer – Energy Storage The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Chemical or Energy Engineering and has a relevant experience in engineering companies or EPC contractors with a solid understanding of industrial, power or chemical plant design. Main responsibilities : Performing process simulations for CO2 battery system; Drafting of material and thermal balances with dedicated simulation programs; Development of PFD (Process Flow Diagram), P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) and process specifications; Process sizing of plant equipment in order to produce the datasheets for the purchase of the equipment itself; Definition of detailed technical specifications; Follow-up of plant equipment suppliers from the offer phase to delivery of the same; Participating in technology screening and assessments with reference to latest information from industry and literature. Supporting experimental test campaigns for the validations of optimized process configurations; Drafting of plant operating procedures and technical-operational and maintenance manuals; Interaction with other engineering services by providing their own specialist support; Follow plant Commissioning, Start up and Performance test on site; Lead Trials and Pilots at our own plants. Requirements : Minimum 2 years of work experience as a process engineer preferably in industrial/power/chemical plant; Proven experience in heat&massbalance and heat exchanger calculation; Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to technical-economic optimization; Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts effectively; Familiarity with sustainable engineering practices and energy-efficient technologies is a plus; Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad to meet our suppliers and join your colleagues for plant Commissioning, Start up and tests.
