We are looking for an ECLSS & TCS Equipment & Piping Engineer. We are seeking candidates who will impress us with a strong foundation in hardware development and thermal engineering, a multidisciplinary mindset, and a customer-oriented approach. Responsibilities Analyse and define the thermal needs using methods such as simulations, mock-ups, models, and prototypes. Describe the thermal functions and requirements and formalise the thermal specification and architectural design to develop hardware solutions or products. Identify critical development problems and assist in their resolution; write timely and technically accurate reports of technical findings. Participate in thermal testing activities and correlate analysis with test results; validate thermal compliance with Group standards. Design and develop effective cooling systems for reliable operations and identify ideas to improve designs. Qualifications and Competencies Master of Engineering or Computer Science. Significant experience in hardware development with a focus on thermal engineering. Strong mathematical, scientific and computer science background; knowledge of thermal laws, norms and standards. Proficiency in thermal technology and control components (HP, MLIs, radiators, coatings, thermal interface materials, heaters, thermistors) and related tools and processes. Experience with Ansys Icepak, Ansys Fluent, Mentor Flotherm; thermal modeling (junction temperature, thermal resistance) and electronics cooling. Thermal tests (Temperature, Humidity, Salt fog, Pressure tests). Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking abilities; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and maintain a customer-oriented mindset. Life at Thales Thermal Engineering Perform hardware engineering activities applicable to Thermal Engineering. Analyse and define thermal needs; develop hardware solutions through studies, simulations, models, and testing.
