Job Description
Overview The Account Manager is responsible for : Day-to-day client management (all channels) Upselling and cross-selling opportunities Long-term client satisfaction and retention Resolving issues in collaboration with other departments Relationship management and growth within assigned accounts, new customers identification & penetration. He / she manages : Existing relationships with important customers in high-density territories, including new target customers. Primarily on-site at point of Sales, direct client contact and Manages a portfolio of medium to important-sized businesses Tasks : Client Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and opinion leaders Serve as the main point of contact between the company and the clients. Understand clients' needs (by using PSS & Complex sales approach) and ensure the company's products or services meet these needs. Support our Partner dealers by helping them to qualify customer needs Sales and Revenue Growth : Executes the sales strategy in the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding annual sales targets by focusing on the "baseline" sales budget additionally identifying and focusing on specific sales opportunities (growth initiatives & focus products / solutions) Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to existing clients. Sales Presentations and Demonstrations Thoroughly understand the products or services being sold to effectively communicate benefits and features, and keep the products knowledge continuously on high level by using defined training tools and platforms Attend and / or organize product shows, exhibitions and seminars to further promote Eppendorf products and brand Provide product demonstrations and realize the equipment installation with the support of Service if required Negotiation and Tender / Contract Management Identify tender opportunities and follow up all operations related to the tender in close collaboration with CustomerCare Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to ensure mutual benefit. Manage the contract renewal process and ensure all contractual obligations are met Sales Process Management Follow-up and process of sales leads moving through the sales funnel. Manage the sales pipeline including quotation process by maintaining up to date all the opportunities to ensure an accurate forecast Negotiate terms and closing sales deals. Handle the necessary paperwork and coordination to complete the sales transaction. Client Support and Problem-Solving : Provide exceptional client support by addressing and resolving client issues promptly. Proactively identify potential problems and implement solutions to prevent issues from arising. Reporting and Analysis : Prepare regular reports on account status, sales activities, and forecasts. Analyze account performance metrics and provide insights to improve client satisfaction and business outcomes. Education, training, professional experience : Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related subject, preferably with Life Sciences focus Demonstrated sales record successes and good customer relationships records Proven experience in selling laboratory products (biotechnology) or experience in laboratory operations is strongly preferred (ideally more than 3 years) Professional competence, special knowledge (e.g. languages, IT) : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers effectively. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Ability to use CRM systems and virtual communication tools. Deep understanding of the products or services being sold.
