Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Assistant Quantity Surveyor for Tier 1 main contractor working on commercial, retail and hotel projects About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor Your role as Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be to work as the assistant commercial on a £20m hotel project and be the no 1 (with an overseeing managing surveyor) on a £5m hotel project You will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Procuring subcontract packages Managing payments to subcontractors Feeding in to CVRs Measuring works Placing subcontract orders Client liaising The role is site based and you must be able to travel to Watford and central London. Requirements: The company are looking for a candidate with experience working ideally on commercial and hotel projects, with knowledge of JCT Contract, however this is not essential and experience with a main contractor managing packages from procurement to final accounting. The ideal candidate is someone who is a highly motivated and keen to join a business with excellent training and progression on offer and someone who wants to build a career in surveying. Degree in a construction related subject Experience with another main contractor About the Company: This Tier 2 main contractor have an excellent industry reputation. With an office based in central London and projects across London and Watford. With a company annual turnover of over £110m and have an strong pipeline of work across the rest of 2025 and in to 2026.
