Job Description
Bramley House is a stunning 41 bed care home that provides the very best in care and support. We have an exciting role for a temporary Activities Assistant to work alongside our Lead Activities Co-ordinator to provide a calendar of fun events and activities for our residents. The Activities Assistant role is a hands-on working role with responsibility for ensuring a successful activities programme. This includes internal and external communication about activities-focused programmes for our residents. This will also include some weekend and evening work. To introduce appropriate activities for older people which support independence and to identify activities in the surrounding areas that will assist residents to integrate into the local community. Main Responsibilities: Organise and conduct activities that encourage both social, mental and if appropriate physical stimulation for the residents within the home To help organise culturally relevant and social events To encourage residents and team members to participate in the homes activities programme Maintenance of activity posters, notice boards and information sheets within the home Person Specification: Compassionate and caring nature Ability to organise activities Outgoing and fun to be around IT literacy competent with the use of systems Good communication skills Excellent written and verbal English Desirable: Experience of working with those living with dementia Company benefits include: Company pension Free parking Rate of pay: £12.21 Hours: 20hrs/week. Shifts to be discussed at interview, but will include weekday, weekend and evening hours.
