Approved Electrician – Domestic & Commercial Location: Cambridge Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent ARC is recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Approved Electrician to work across domestic and commercial projects in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician who is confident in delivering installations, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding to a high standard while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Carry out electrical installations in both domestic and commercial environments. Perform planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Undertake inspection and testing of electrical systems, completing certification as required. Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and effectively. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). Work independently or as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard. Maintain accurate job records through the company's operating system. Provide clear communication and professional service to clients. Skills & Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671). AM2 and Approved Electrician status desirable. Experience working in both domestic and commercial settings. Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) preferred. Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Full, clean UK driving licence. Benefits: Salary of £36,000 – £42,000 depending on experience.
